Standard & Fast Polyclonal Antibody Programs
We produce custom polyclonal antibodies in various host species from antigens provided by our customers or synthesized at Eurogentec. We offer polyclonal antibody preparation from our standard or fast immunization programs. We can also customize the program according to the needs of our customers.
Antigens for custom polyclonal antibody generation
We produce polyclonal antibodies with various types of antigen including peptides, proteins, or complex samples. We use antigens provided by our customers or we synthesize antigen peptides.
You provide the antigen
You can provide us with your protein, peptide, cell extract, or complex sample. In this case, we recommend that you consult the how to provide my antigen section.
Injecting a complex sample (protein, cell extract…) will result in rich polyclonal serum with a broad variety of different antibodies. Some of them will potentially target conformational epitopes.
We synthesize the antigen
Eurogentec designs and synthesizes 15-25 mg of one peptide (≥70% purity, 10-16 aa). Injecting one peptide will result in a serum containing a limited set of different polyclonal antibodies targeting linear -but not conformational- epitopes.
We also offer options to increase the chance of success of the immunization (Double X Programs) or to get antibodies targeting specific modifications such as PTMs (Anti-Post Tranlational Modification Programs).
Eurogentec designs and synthesizes two peptides (15-25 mg each, ≥70% purity, 10-16 aa).
The DX programs use two peptides to increase the chances of success. These peptides correspond to spatially distinct regions of the target protein surface. This increases the opportunity for the resultant polyclonal to recognize the target protein in its natural environment. Each host receives a combination of the two peptides.
The customer then tests the serum from the immunized host(s) in its own assay. If the result is conclusive, we can purify the antibodies by affinity for one or both peptides independently.
Eurogentec designs and synthesizes two peptides: one with the PTM (15-20 mg, >70% purity, 10-16 aa) and one unmodified.
Our Speedy 28-Day programs are based on frequent boosts and are well adapted to generate anti-PTM Antibodies. Indeed, repeated antigen injections over a short period of time may minimize the instability of the modification(s) present on the antigen peptide.

Speedy 28-Day is the reference program to produce custom polyclonal antibodies at Eurogentec. The Speedy protocol uses a non-Freund adjuvant. Our optimized process with a short immunization time, stimulates the immune response and produces mostly IgG’s.

Our classical programs provide high titer antibodies with excellent affinity. Immunization lasts from 65 to 90 days depending on the host and the immune response.

We can monitor the immune response after two months. The customer can test the serum from the second intermediate bleed. According to the result, we maintain or adapt the day of the final bleed.
