Anti-llama antibodies

Secondary Antibodies


Camelids produce 3 types of Immunoglobulin G. Only sub-classes IgG2 and IgG3 are single chain antibodies. To facilitate the detection and the isolation of single chain Ab from a mixture containing IgG1, 2 and 3; Eurogentec offers anti-llama secondary antibodies labelled with biotin and R-PE or unlabeled.

Single chain antibodies bind the antigen through a unique domain called VHH. We provide a premium anti-VHH polyclonal antibody which efficiently binds to a large panel of VHH antibody fragments, even in demanding applications. It is available unlabeled or labeled with HiLyte™ Fluor 488.

Llama Antibodies - custom services

Mouse anti-llama IgG1(H+L), clone 27.7: This secondary antibody allows the detection of IgG1 from llamas and other camelids. It was produced in vitro and purified using protein G. It has low to no cross-reactivity toward IgG2 and IgG3.

Mouse anti-llama IgG2/3, clone 17.11: This secondary antibody allows the detection of IgG2 and IgG3 from llamas and other camelids. It was produced in vitro and purified using protein G. It has low to no cross-reactivity toward IgG1.

Rabbit anti-llama VHH: This polyclonal secondary antibody generated using a mixture of VHHs from multiple sources allows for the detection of a very large panel of VHHs from different framework sequence families. This antibody was purified using protein A.

RP-E: R-Phycoerythrin (R-PE) is a fluorescent protein isolated from red algae, and belonging to the phycobiliprotein family. Its primary absorption peak is at 565 nm with secondary peaks at 496 and 545 nm. The broad excitation spectrum of R-PE provides the advantage for multi-color immunofluorescent staining or cell sorting. R-PE and the closely related BPE are the most intensely fluorescent phycobiliproteins having orange fluorescence with maximum emission at 578 nm. They are significantly brighter and more photostable than conventional organic fluorophores.

HiLyte™ Fluor 488: It is a green fluorophore with brighter fluorescence and better photostability than fluoresceins such as FITC. The fluorescence of HiLyte™ Fluor 488 can be observed at excitation/emission wavelength of 499 nm/523 nm.

    Anti-llama VHH: 5 000 to 10 000 x
