The ROX passive reference consists of an inert dye whose fluorescence is stable along the qPCR reaction, allowing the normalization of well-to-well variations that may result from pipetting erros or instrument limitations.

Eurogentec's ROX passive reference has been specifically developed for use on ABI and Stratagene Real-Time thermocyclers. Any of our No ROX kits can be used in combination with a separate tube of the ROX passive reference.

Dilution recommandations for use on normal ROX (ABI 5700, 7000, 7300, 7700, 7900, StepOne, MasterCycler® ep realplex) and Low ROX (ABI 7500, , Mx4000®, Mx3000P®, Mx3005P®) machines are described within the technical Data Sheet.

Storage Conditions
  • - For long term storage the ROX passive reference should be stored at -15°C to -25°C in a constant temperature freezer. When stored under these conditions the reagents are stable for 2 years. Avoid repetitive freeze-thaw cycles. - ROX passive reference is stable at 4°C for six months. - Store in the dark. Minimizing exposure to direct light avoid loss of fluorescent signal intensity.
