Thrombospondin Peptides

Catalog Go™ peptides

Thrombospondin (TSP) is a glycoprotein with three identical disulfide-bonded subunits. It is a widely distributed extracellular matrix protein and has been identified as an active agent in angiogenesis, platelet aggregation and cell adhesion. It has been implicated in processes such as wound healing, tumor growth and metastasis. Thrombospondin is an inhibitor of the fibrinolytic enzyme, plasmin and acts as a competitive inhibitor of neutrophil elastase. It mediates adherence of CD36+ sickle reticulocytes to endothelial cells.

Reference Name Description
AS-60873 Tryptophan Motif Peptide This fibronectin-binding peptide, derived from the second type I repeat of thrombospondin, is an inhibitor of the fibronectin-mediated interactions of cells with collagen in the extracellular matrix. It is completely conserved in the second type I repeats of mouse and human thrombospondin-1 and thrombospondin-2 from mouse and chicken.
AS-60875 SLLK, Control Peptide for TSP1 Inhibitor A control peptide for LSKL (cat# AS-60877).
AS-60877 LSKL, Inhibitor of Thrombospondin (TSP-1) This peptide, derived from the latency-associated peptide, inhibits thrombospondin (TSP-1) activation of TGF-ß; thus preventing the progression of hepatic damage and fibrosis.
AS-65371 Thrombospondin-derived Peptide; Cyclic CSVTCG This peptide represents a binding motif responsible for thrombospondin-CD36 interaction. It is cyclized through a disulfide bond.
